NOT the same as Babies R Us seat

I went and looked at this car seat at Babies R Us and loved what I saw. Comfy, easy to use, lots of padding, etc. Then I went and ordered it on line (from BabyAge) and when it came I discovered it is NOT the same seat. There is MUCH less padding on this version, and the headrest is at a sharper angle so the child's head is pushed down and looks uncomfortable. It was also not the color I ordered (from BabyAge) so I returned it right away. I gave it 3 stars because it appears to be an O.K. seat, however I didn't use it at all, so I can't really say. I just know that it is NOT the same as the one at Babies R Us and I wanted the more comfortable one for my child. So I returned this one to BabyAge and went and bought the one from Babies R Us. It is a wonderful, comfortable, easy to use seat, just beware that the name "Alpha Omega Elite Convertable Car seat" comes in MANY different styles, colors, and manufacturers, (Cosco and Safety 1st) and as far as I can tell, none are as nice as BRU. Walmart and BJS wholesale stores sell this online version if you want to check it out in person before buying it.

Alpha Omega Elite Convertible Car Seat I WOULD NOT recommend either this car set or (for sure) NOT the co who shipped it: BABY AGE. I received this car seat 1/2 off retail price; it was on the list of American Pediatrics (they don't rate just list) I thought it was a good "occasional use" seat. Shortly after I got it (and B4 it was openned), I got a notice of ratings of booster seats: it has a very poor rating!! When I called to return it, I was told I have to cover shipping cost, which it $20 less than I paid for it.. They seem to be selling it 1/2 price "surely due to the rating." note: mostly booster seats that are convertable got "not recommended" ratings. This converts from 5 to 100lbs.: rear to front facing to booster. "Buyer remorse" was the notation BabAge put on the return instead of unfavorable safety rating.

I haven't used the product yet, but so far I'm very pleased with my purchase. The car seat seems to be very sturdy, the fabric all high quality, and it is what the product description says it is. I'll know more in a few weeks when my son is born and I actually get to use it!

Great, especially for LATCH-equipped cars

I did my research before purchasing this car seat, and I liked what I saw. My car is a 2004 Honda Pilot, which is not equipped with the LATCH system. It took me about a half hour to install the seat securely, but once I did, I was very impressed. It's secure, comfortable, stylish, and very adjustable. I would recommend this car seat to anyone in the market.

What an awesome price for all you get with this carseat! $99 + $10 shipping - WOW! It is a very handsome black and tan velvet type material and looks extremely comfortable for baby. It has all sorts of curve-hugging padding and includes a removable infant headrest and detachable pillow at the top. The main curved headrest moves up and down easily for your growing child.
The red lever at the bottom is for one hand recline and the straps are extremely easy to adjust and have little shoulder pads around them. I had a little bit of trouble threading the latch system belts through for rear-facing (directions were not super clear) but once I got it the latch system is so easy; you simply clip the latch belts that rest on either side of the seat to the latch bars in your car. This also makes it extremely easy to switch to another car. You do have to prop the seat up in rear-facing to get it at the recommended angle which is simply done with a rolled up towel, but that seems to be the case with most of the carseats I read about before purchasing. We do have the car seat in the middle back seat and most likely wouldn't be able to put the seat on one of the sides in the rear-facing position if needed because it sticks out too far (we have a Mercury Mariner - Ford Escape). But I love the fact that it will grow with my child so its little bit of oversize is worth it in my eyes.
I would highly recommend this car seat! Why pay more when you have all you will ever need?
