Great Product

We have been looking for something to get dried puppy spit up off a velvet sofa...boy did this do the trick. Patience is the key though, we had to squirt and brush several times until it removed it fully.

Doesn't work 100% on cat puke
»
This product is good but not excellent. I think it would be worth it to spend a little more to get the spot bot. This product works, but is not 100% effective at removing cat puke (the primary reason we purchased it). After spending a lot of time and elbow grease working to remove the stain traces of it are still visible.

DO NOT BUY THIS >>> JUST PLAIN DOESNT WORK
»
My wife picked this up as an impulse, as we needed something to clean our canvas couch once in awhile.
First... The spray path of the chemical is easily 5 times larger than the suction head. You will be cleaning up your floor and the surrounding furniture more than you will the object you are actually trying to clean. I was honestly soaking wet and had to place a face towel over the sprayer so it would not spray a 4 ft path.
Second, it doesnt pick up 1/4 of the water it sprays. The suction is terrible on this, I went through two full solution tanks and the other collection tank had barely an inch if that of dirty water.
DO NOT BUY THIS. It is very poorly designed and you will spend more time cleaning the surrounding area than cleaning the actual furniture.

Kudos to Bissell
»
I've owned the slightly earlier, essentially-the-same Model 1400 Little Green Machine for several years. We have had six cats while the machine has been here, three of them longhairs, with their tendency to throw up hairballs at times. An old cat has occasional problems with his digestion and rubs his rear on the carpets. The Bissell Little Green has worked VERY hard for us over the years and has never let us down. It's looking kind of beat-up now, and some of the plastic parts do show some wear. But it still works, it still runs, and when it finally goes the way of all machines, I'll be very happy to buy the current model 1400B...or whatever model they're selling, then!
It's also, as others have noted, an EXCELLENT upholstery cleaner, for both home and car. In the car, it is incredible how much dirt it pulls out of cloth seats that LOOKED clean.
KUDOS to Bissell!

The car shampooer I was looking for!
»
I wanted a shampooer to do the seats and carpets of my cars. I didn't find anyone who gave that as their review but I bought it on the strong reviews others gave in on their experieces in the home. I made a good assumption because it's great for cleaning the inside of your vehicle. I really like the quality and simple designs of Bissell products. I have their small vacuum but the product I really like is their steam mop!
I only gave it 4 stars because of funky way it sprays the cleaner! They should design a sprayer where you can adjust the spray pattern, not all jobs need a spray to cover an air landing strip! I imagine they designed it for carpeting and not uphostery, where I think is it's true strength of use is. Anyway get use to directing the spray with your non-spraying hand and learn to live with this design flaw.
