Attach the Fisher-Price Rainforest Waterfall Peek-a-Boo Soother to baby's crib and use the critters and sounds of the rainforest to put baby in blissful slumber. The three modes are handy whether using the six minute music, lights, and bubbles setting, the 12 minute music and lights setting, or the 18 minute music only setting. The last is a coup for those putting baby back to sleep in the middle of the night. Each mode has three musical settings: rainforest sounds and classical music, rainforest and lullaby, and merely the sounds of the jungle. The three volume settings are useful, though it would be nice to have a daytime and nighttime setting for the lights, as they can be a bit bright. The special effects aren't Hollywood, but the smiling simian on the vine, the waterfall effect, and the peek-a-boo frog will have babies enthralled. Four C batteries are necessary, but not included. Recommended age is birth and up. --Scott Teal

Wonderful attention keeper.

I bought this device for my daughter who has a disorder similiar to Autism. She loves to sit and watch the calming movement while listening to the soft music. Hard to find a toy that isn't loud with bright flashing lights but this was perfect for her.

Hopefully will be as good as the aquarium
»
I bought this toy for my baby nephew because my 3 year old daughter has loved her Fisher Price aquarium soother since she was little. I bought this one instead of the aquarium because the aquarium has gone up in price quite a bit over the years. This rainforest one looks good, but maybe not quite as cute as the aquarium. I hope he'll like it as much as she likes the aquarium.

Fabulous but PRICEY BATTERY USAGE
»
This is a fabulous toy. We have had 6 of them in different themes total for four children. They really SOOTHE a child to sleep. Maybe more like mesmorize ... The biggest draw-back / factor with this item is that one of our children pushes the button on it so often that we have to change the 4 D sized batteries about every 10 days. That runs us about $16.00 a month. He won't sleep without it. SO, it is a blessing but also an expense.

The best soother we've tried
»
We've tried a few soothers and had a mobile and this was by far my twins favorite. They are 1 now and in separate cribs and I need to buy another one so they can each have one. I've read other reviews that said it was too bright and I don't know if my girls are weird, but they like it. The light is blue and not a blinding white, both my girls look for it when they get in the crib and stare at it while it runs. When we were away visiting family, I wish I had brought it with me because they were miserable without it. It did go through a lot of batteries when they were in the crib more, now they prefer to take naps in the stroller when we go for walks so it's only used once a day (and when they decide to turn it on in the night/morning) and I only change the batteries around every 3 months. It only stays on for 6 minutes when you have lights, sound and motion, but that's perfect timing for my girls as they are usually asleep within 3-5 minutes of getting settled in bed. At first I thought it would be too short, but they don't cry when it's done and are always asleep when I check on them. All in all, a very good soother.

Puts my nephew to sleep!
»
Gorgeous item! The lights are bright enough to be really sparkly. The songs and sound effects, several lullabies. This is soothing, my 2month old niece likes it. I wish the timer could be adjustable...if I want just music and lights or both and the time. There's room for improvement, but still a great item.
