This car seat base is so easy to install! We got this for the grandmother's car, so it would be easy to transport the little one.. There are many options to install, since her car didn't have the hooks behind the seat like ours did, we used the seat belt method and it still works great and is very secure! I would recommend this system to anyone! When our little one gets bigger, we will definitely get the Britax car seat for kiddos over 30 lbs and then the Britax booster!

Very easy to use and extremely well built

We used this for our first child (along with the Britax infant seat) and was amazed at how easy it was to install and how safe and snug it was for our baby. I have to question the intelligence of anyone who had problems installing this seat because it is not difficult. If you are buying the Britax infant carrier, this extra base is a must-have for your second car. I also compared this seat and base to a different brand that our friends had for their baby, and I was so impressed with the quality of construction and materials that Britax uses. I highly recommend this seat and base to anyone who has an infant.

Base for a great car seat

I have used the Britax Companion with my first child and will use it again with my second child. Buying extra bases makes it easy to move the carrier from car to car. This car seat has great side protection and the anti-rebound bar is a great feature. Don't know what the previous reviewer had in mind, but it is #2 out of 11 infant car seats on that famous consumer reports web site.
